Exploring the Black Lava fields of Mount Batur

Black Lava exploration is a listed inclusion on both jeep packages from Batur Best Jeep Sunrise Guide. On the published timetable it comes after breakfast, around 07:00, before the jeep returns to the meeting point at 08:00.

What is known

The stop is part of the 4WD morning with a local guide. It is not a separate ticket in the inclusions list. Closed shoes make more sense on uneven volcanic rock than sandals. The operator does not publish walking distance or how long the stop lasts beyond that hour.

What it is not

Natural hot spring admission is excluded from both the IDR 350,000 tour and the hotel transfer tour. A lava stop does not include the springs. If you want that ticket, ask when you book and expect an extra charge.
